Yesterday, the College Board formally endorsed the DREAM Act amnesty with their release of a report entitled, ‘Young Lives on Hold: The College Dreams of Undocumented Students.’ In its report, the College Board said that opponents of the DREAM Act fail to realize that “one-size-fits-all policies fail to take into account the diversity of the undocumented population.” But the DREAM Act is a “one-size-fits all” policy.
In media coverage -- from cable news programs to newspaper editorial boards to YouTube videos -- immigration appears to be taking a backseat only to the struggling economy and late night talk show appearances by President Obama.
We’ve had tremendous response to Roy’s blog analyzing Tuesday’s disappointing 50-47 vote in the Senate with more than 135 comments since it was posted that evening. Only one other blog in our history received more comments, and it dates back to July. If I had to guess, Tuesday’s blog would surpass that blog’s 160 comments by the end of the weekend.
