Ken Cuccinelli, the acting deputy secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, lauded the Trump administration’s Remain in Mexico program, which has sent tens of thousands of asylum seekers back across the southern border to wait.

Cuccinelli appeared Sunday on “Fox & Friends” to discuss the White House’s efforts to manage the illegal immigration crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border, including its recent order to relocate National Park rangers to the area to help Border Patrol rangers and its success with the Remain in Mexico program. On Wednesday night, MSNBC hosted a debate for the 2020 Democratic Presidential Primary candidates. Only one very poorly framed question related to immigration was asked the entire evening. It wasn't for lack of time, since there were no immigration questions asked in the three-hour marathon debate the previous month. It's almost as if the candidates, and the networks hosting the debates, don't want to talk about it.

The House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday advanced a bill that would expand the H-2A foreign guestworker program and provide a major amnesty for illegal farm workers — an attempt to solve the nation’s false sense of an agricultural labor shortage pushed by proponents of open borders. The measure, H.R. 5038, was approved by voice vote after a marathon markup.

The agreements require migrants who pass through Northern Triangle countries to first seek asylum there before coming to the United States.

NumbersUSA Education & Research Foundation provides a civil forum for Americans of all political and ethnic backgrounds to focus on a single issue, the numerical level of U.S. immigration. We educate opinion leaders, policymakers and the public on immigration legislation, policies and their consequences. We favor reductions in immigration numbers toward traditional levels that would allow present and future generations of Americans to enjoy a stabilizing U.S. population and a high degree of individual liberty, mobility, environmental quality, worker fairness and fiscal responsibility.

Those who need to refer to NumbersUSA with a short, descriptive modifier should call it an “immigration-reduction organization.”
