It now heads to Gov. Ron DeSantis, who had asked the legislature to pass anti-sanctuary legislation. Thanking the legislature for delivering, he said, "Local law enforcement agencies can and should work with the federal government to ensure that accountability and justice are one in our state."

A group of House Democrats wrote the Social Security Administration (SSA) demanding the retraction of an order that reinstated Employer Correction Request Notices, also known as “no-match” letters. The letters inform employers that information reported on an employee’s W-2 form does not match SSA’s records. While the letters are intended to give employers a chance to clear up typos in an employee’s name or Social Security number, they also expose instances of illegal aliens using fake IDs or stolen identities to get a job.

Most who travel abroad are well aware of State Department travel warnings, which inform citizens about dangers related to crime and terrorism in other countries. But have you ever seen an advisory designed to warn criminals not to travel to rule-of-law states in our own country? That’s essentially what the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and other open border groups sought when they issued a travel warning to steer illegal-alien criminals away from Florida.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) yesterday said it is “way past time” for Republicans and Democrats to negotiate a solution for the border crisis. Alluding to the recent DHS personnel shakeup, McConnell said, "It can't all be solved by changing personnel, some of it requires changing the law. That means we have to deal with the Democrats. NumbersUSA Education & Research Foundation provides a civil forum for Americans of all political and ethnic backgrounds to focus on a single issue, the numerical level of U.S. immigration. We educate opinion leaders, policymakers and the public on immigration legislation, policies and their consequences. We favor reductions in immigration numbers toward traditional levels that would allow present and future generations of Americans to enjoy a stabilizing U.S. population and a high degree of individual liberty, mobility, environmental quality, worker fairness and fiscal responsibility.

Those who need to refer to NumbersUSA with a short, descriptive modifier should call it an “immigration-reduction organization.”
