Anti-growth is a 90-to-10 voter issue in Colorado that almost no elected, corporate or civic leaders in the state are talking about in this election season.

A new poll of 1,024 likely voters by Rasmussen Reports found that:

For eight days in July 1834, immigrants' fear of the mere possibility of a future flood of newly freed slaves from the South competing with them for jobs in New York City boiled over into a full-scale riot involving thousands. The House and Senate are on a path to reach agreement on legislation to increase American global competitiveness in manufacturing, research and innovation. Ironically, the House version of the American competitiveness bill includes immigration provisions detrimental to American STEM workers and students. Representative Jim Banks (R, IN) has introduced a legislative alternative in the House, which is designed to protect Americans in tech.

The Biden Administration announced this past month its decision to accept up to 100,000 people fleeing the Russian invasion in Ukraine. The decision invites questions about the U.S. ability to resolve worldwide issues by accepting more migrants.

Polling shows many Hispanics favor border enforcement and immigration limits, especially those who live in border areas. Economic and labor issues are also key concerns for Hispanic voters, which should come as no surprise, but apparently does to many D.C. pundits.

NumbersUSA Education & Research Foundation provides a civil forum for Americans of all political and ethnic backgrounds to focus on a single issue, the numerical level of U.S. immigration. We educate opinion leaders, policymakers and the public on immigration legislation, policies and their consequences. We favor reductions in immigration numbers toward traditional levels that would allow present and future generations of Americans to enjoy a stabilizing U.S. population and a high degree of individual liberty, mobility, environmental quality, worker fairness and fiscal responsibility.

Those who need to refer to NumbersUSA with a short, descriptive modifier should call it an “immigration-reduction organization.”
