You have to hand it to Representatives Salazar and Escobar. They are not going to allow anything such as facts or logic get in the way of their open-borders agenda. They introduced a bipartisan bill called ‘The Dignity Act of 2023,’ which really should be called the Cheap Labor Act. It is difficult to imagine a more shiny gift to our business overlords.

With the Southwest Border under the control of cartels and American workers struggling to make ends meet, the House of Representatives is spending this week considering a bill to eliminate limits on legal immigration to the United States. The bill is H.R. 3648, the Equal Access to Green Cards for Legal Employment Act of 2022, otherwise known by the somewhat-tortured acronym EAGLE. No doubt our national bird is flying far and fast away from any association with this misguided legislation as should any Member of Congress with common sense.https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/3648/text

A permanent loss of incalculable value

There is no return from extinction - it is a permanent loss of something of inestimable value. Conventional economic thinking assumes that because immigration grows the population and the economy, more immigration-driven population growth is always good. But urban sprawl and habitat loss increases the risks of species extinction in America. Reducing immigration-driven population growth (e.g., limiting chain migration) is the best way to save our remaining habitat and wilderness areas and to preserve America's diversity of life.

Voters without college degrees outnumber those with by 2-to-1, and their political allegiances have been shifting. Polls indicate that the realignment is about to accelerate, and immigration appears to be a major factor. The managerial class, meanwhile, presses on with policies to give the investment class greater access to the global labor force.

NumbersUSA Education & Research Foundation provides a civil forum for Americans of all political and ethnic backgrounds to focus on a single issue, the numerical level of U.S. immigration. We educate opinion leaders, policymakers and the public on immigration legislation, policies and their consequences. We favor reductions in immigration numbers toward traditional levels that would allow present and future generations of Americans to enjoy a stabilizing U.S. population and a high degree of individual liberty, mobility, environmental quality, worker fairness and fiscal responsibility.

Those who need to refer to NumbersUSA with a short, descriptive modifier should call it an “immigration-reduction organization.”
