ICE Union Pres. Removed from Gang of Eight Press Conference

The Gang of Eight officially unveiled its amnesty bill to the public today, but one of the press conference’s attendees wasn’t welcome. ICE Union President Chris Crane was removed from the event when he tried to ask a question during the Q&A portion of the press conference.

On three separate occasions, Crane attempted to ask Sen. Chuck Schumer, “Will you take a question from law enforcement?” After his third attempt, he was removed from the room.

Crane heads the 7,600-agent ICE Union and has been critical of the Gang’s bill. Earlier in the day, he criticized the bill’s lack of enforcement provisions during his own press conference.

“This bill will put the public safety at risk without a doubt,” Crane said.
