Account Issues

What is an Action Alert?

An action alert is an email sent to you by NumbersUSA with actions you can take. Roy Beck typically sends these alerts a couple times per week when there is pertinent information regarding the battle against open borders, immigration increases, or illegal immigration. This information typically includes what is happening in Congress on immigration-related bills, how government, state, or local agencies are handling immigration-related matters, or any other information pertaining to NumbersUSA's goals. You may unsubscribe to these action alerts at any time.

I can't seem to solve my problem, should I just register a new account?

No. A duplicate registration will not solve a problem with logging in. Chances are greater that we can solve the problem for you. Please contact us through our help form.

I want to cancel my membership. How do I remove myself from your system?

If you are a member you can unsubscribe at any time by visiting your account page and clicking “Unsubscribe.”

Can more than one person per household or computer become a NumbersUSA member?

There is no limit to users per household or computer.

If there is more than one NumbersUSA member using your computer, each user must always remember to log out when he/she has finished sending faxes or visiting the Action Board so the next user can login using his/her unique username and password.

I have a new e-mail address/home address; how do I make this change in NumbersUSA?

Your personal information, especially your e-mail address, can be changed using our email change form on your account's contact page.

Remember, you have to be logged in to access this page. If you do not see your personal information on that page, then you are not logged in.

Why do you have the wrong representative listed for my district?

In order to ensure that all of your faxes go to your representative, please make sure that you have the four digit extension of your zip code in your user information. You can find this field and make corrections after logging in to the site. If you require assistance finding your four digit extension code, go to the United State Postal Service website.

If the wrong representative is still listed after following the above steps, please submit a help request with which congressman is being displayed and which should be showing.

Donation Issues

E-Mail Issues

What is an Action Alert?

An action alert is an email sent to you by NumbersUSA. Roy typically sends these alerts a couple times per week when there is pertinent information regarding the battle against open borders, immigration increases, or illegal immigration. This information typically includes what is happening in Congress on immigration-related bills, how government, state, or local agencies are handling immigration-related matters, or any other information pertaining to NumbersUSA's goals. You may unsubscribe to these action alerts at any time.

Why did I suddenly stopped receiving your e-mail?

This is most likely an issue with your e-mail provider marking NumbersUSA as spam. Be sure that immigrationinfo@numbersusa.com is allowed to deliver e-mails to your inbox. You can most likely do this by finding an e-mail from us in your spam box and clicking an option that will say something like "Allow mail from this address" or by adding the email to your contacts.

How do I reduce the frequency and number of emails that I receive from NumbersUSA?

As a member of NumbersUSA, you will receive emails containing updates and action requests from Roy Beck and/or NumbersUSA staff. NumbersUSA's website is designed for members to participate in helping to reform immigration law in the critical hours and minutes leading up to a vote in Congress.

By registering as a member on this website, you have signaled to us that you'd like to be active on immigration reform, but you can decide whether you just want to send faxes to congress, relay information to other people, or totally immerse yourself in any activity we have listed on this site.

If you want fewer—or more—Action Alert emails, you may set your which emails you would like to receive.

How do I customize the type of alerts I receive from NumbersUSA?

If you would like to receive immigration information specific to your concerns and personal interests, you may customize the type of information you’d like to receive.

Faxing Issues

Why can't I send a fax?

First make sure you are logged in. If you are not logged in to our website, you'll need to do so in order to access the Action Board and send faxes. Type your email and password at the top of this page and click “Login”. Remember, being on the mailing list and receiving our emails does not automatically allow you to send faxes; you must be a registered member of NumbersUSA. If you are on our mailing list, but not yet a member, you can register for a username and password by filling out a simple form and sending your first fax.

When I preview my fax I only see one senator listed even though the fax is intended for both. Will both receive a copy?

Yes, the other senator will receive a copy. When you preview a fax being sent off to both your senators it is an exact copy of what you are sending. Another copy will be sent to the other senator with their address information and correct salutation.

Login Issues

I can't seem to solve my problem, should I just register a new account?

No. A duplicate registration will not solve a problem with logging in. Chances are greater that we can solve the problem for you.

Why does someone else’s name appear when I go to the homepage or try to send a fax?

Check to see if someone else is logged on to NumbersUSA on your computer. If there is more than one NumbersUSA member using your computer, each user must always remember to log out when he/she has finished sending faxes or visiting the Action Buffet so the next user can login using his/her unique username and password.

Why am I told to log in when I try to access the website Action Board?

You must log in using your email and password. Members should use their email and password they selected upon registering for the site.

If you have forgotten this information you may have it sent to you. If you are not a member you must register.

Can you send me my password?

We will be happy to send your password to the email address you provided upon registering with NumbersUSA. Use our online form to have your password sent to you immediately.

There is no need to register again for a new password. If you no longer maintain the email address that we have on record, please provide us with your new email address via our help form.

Candidate Comparisons

What if my candidate hasn't completed a survey?

If your favorite candidate has not completed a survey, there are several things you can do:

  1. Download a copy of our survey and hand deliver it to the candidate's campaign office or email the attachment.
  2. Or if you don't want to download a copy of the survey, you can copy the link and email it to the campaign office: https://www.numbersusa.com/content/publications/letters-endorsements/candidate-surveys.html
  3. Or you can call the candidate's campaign office and urge them to complete our survey. Give them our phone number to call: (703) 816-8820.
What is a “True Reformer”?

A “True Reformer” is a candidate who promises to support all or nearly all of NumbersUSA's top immigration priorities. In most instances, “True Reformers” have completed our Immigration-Reduction Survey, but there are a few incumbents who have also earned the “True Reformer” label through their actions in Congress, most notably by sponsoring all five of our “5 Great Immigration-Reduction Bills.”

The survey is not the final determinant. If we find sufficient actions and comments by a candidate that are contradictory to what has been stated on the survey, we replace the survey answer with a colored circle that indicates what we rate as the candidate's true position.

What do the symbols mean?

Go to the bottom of the candidate comparison grid to find the full KEY that explains each symbol. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Green: Supports lower immigration.
  • Orange: Supports higher immigration.
  • Yes and No icons: These are the answers candidates gave us by completing our Immigration-Reduction Survey. Note that these are what candidates promise to do if elected and are not based on past actions.
  • Circles: If candidates don't fill out our survey, we rate them based on past actions and/or statements they have made in the media or on their websites.

Be sure to click on candidates' names below their photos to see notes they have written to amplify any of their answers, and to see links to statements that we have found and used to determine our ratings.

What does a letter grade above a photo mean?

If candidates are current or former Members of Congress, a shield with their grade is located above their photo. The grade posted for incumbents is their grade for this Congress (2013-14) only, while former Members have their career grade posted.

Who should I vote for?

NumbersUSA does not endorse candidates, but we do tell you who has the best positions on immigration. Simply, the more green icons that candidates have on the grid below, the more likely they will be to reduce overall immigration and foreign-worker competition (both illegal and legal).

Voters will also want to make the usual assessments about a candidate's character and leadership abilities. You will also want to click on the name below the candidates' photos to see any notes that they wrote on survey and any links that we have provided to their public statements and websites.
