Rep. Gary Miller Joins NumbersUSA’s 5-for-5 Club

Rep. Gary Miller (R-Calif.) has joined NumbersUSA’s 5-for-5 Club after cosponsoring Rep. Bob Goodlatte’s SAFE for America Act that would end the Visa Lottery. Rep. Miller has cosponsored at least one bill in each category of our “5 Great Immigration Solutions”. Rep. Miller is a long-time champion for lower immigration levels, and in the previous Congress, he joined Reps. Sue Myrick and Lamar Smith in forming the Reclaim American Jobs Caucus in Congress.

Rep. Miller represents California’s 42nd Congressional District, and he’s served in Congress since 1999. He has earned a career B+ grade, but has maintained an A+ over the last several Congresses. Rep. Miller holds a career A+ in six of our nine immigration-reduction categories. Rep. Miller is tied with seven other Members ofCongress with the highest grade card score over the past two Congresses.

This Congress, Rep. Miller introduced the LEAVE Act (H.R. 1196), which is a compilation bill that combines Rep. King’s bill to end Birthright Citizenship (H.R. 140) and Rep. Marsha Blackburn’s CLEAR Act (H.R. 100) to increase interior enforcement of federal immigration laws. The LEAVE Act also includes a provision that would require nationwide mandatory use of E-Verify.

Rep. Miller has also cosponsored Rep. Phil Gingrey’s Nuclear Family Priority Act (H.R. 692) that would end Chain Migration.
