Immigration Bills

A bill to amend the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008 to protect alien minors and to amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to end abuse of the asylum system and establish refugee application and processing centers outside the United States, and for other purposes.

To designate Nicaragua under section 244 of the Immigration and Nationality Act to permit nationals of Nicaragua to be eligible for temporary protected status under such section, and for other purposes.

A bill to authorize the cancellation of removal and adjustment of status of certain individuals who are long-term United States residents and who entered the United States as children, and for other purposes.

H.R. 6 would grant amnesty to approximately 3.2 million illegal aliens who entered the country prior to their 18th birthday and meet certain requirements. It would also provide amnesty to approximately 430,000 recipients of Temporary Protected Status (TPS). Most TPS recipients were in the country illegally at the time they received the designation.

A bill to designate Venezuela under section 244 of the Immigration and Nationality Act to permit nationals of Venezuela to be eligible for temporary protected status under such section.
