H.R. 1149, the Nuclear Family Priority Act, would eliminate the three chain migration categories -- parents, adult siblings, and adult children -- and create a special non-working visa for parents. The legislation would directly decrease overall immigration by more than 111,800 per year (1.118 million a decade). This would indirectly reduce the numbers by even more over time as there would be fewer recent immigrants who are the ones most likely to bring people into the country as spouses or parents of U.S. citizens.

To provide that the Executive Order entitled "Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States" (January 27, 2017) shall have no force or effect, to prohibit the use of Federal funds to enforce the Executive Order, and for other purposes.

To amend section 524(c) of title 18, United States Code, to use lawfully forfeited drug seizures to increase border security.

To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to deny the refundable portion of the child tax credit to individuals who are not authorized to be employed in the United States and to terminate the use of certifying acceptance agents to facilitate the application process for ITINs.

To designate Haiti under section 244 of the Immigration and Nationality Act to permit nationals of Haiti to be eligible for temporary protected status under such section.
