S. 98: 

STEM Jobs Act of 2015

Support

S. 98, the STEM Jobs Act of 2015, would cancel the visa lottery program and transfer the 55,000 yearly visas that would have been granted through the visa lottery into two new priority categories (doctorate and masters degree) under 203(b). For the first two fiscal years of the program, unused visas for which petitions or applications for labor certification have been filed will be added to the total visas for the next fiscal year. Following the first two years, remaining unused visas do not transfer to the next fiscal year.

H.R. 140: 

Birthright Citizenship Act of 2015

H.R. 140 would eliminate birthright citizenship, the process that automatically grants citizenship to the estimated 350,000 U.S.-born children to illegal aliens each year.

H.R. 29: 

Separation of Powers Act of 2015

Support

H.R. 29, the Separation of Powers Act of 2015, would block funding for the issuance of green cards to any illegal aliens unless the alien's case is reviewed on an individual basis and it's for urgent humanitarian reasons. It would also block funding for the issuance of green cards or work permits to any illegal alien currently living in the United States.

Prevention of Executive Amnesty Act of 2015

Defense of Legal Workers Act of 2015

H.R. 32, the Defense of Legal Workers Act of 2015, would block funding for Pres. Obama's executive DAPA amnesty announced in Nov. 2014 and renewals for his 2012 DACA amnesty. This amnesty would result in work permits for approximately 7.1 million illegal aliens who are parents of U.S. citizens or meet other requirements.

Preventing Executive Overreach on Immigration Act of 2015

H.R. 38, the Preventing Executive Overreach on Immigration Act of 2015, would block funding for Pres. Obama's executive DAPA amnesty announced in Nov. 2014. This amnesty would result in work permits for approximately 5 million illegal aliens who are parents of U.S. citizens. The legislation, however, would prevent an exemption, allowing some illegal aliens to receive amnesty.

Border Security, Cooperation, and Act Now Drug War Prevention Act of 2015

H.R. 43, the Border Security, Cooperation, and Act Now Drug War Prevention Act of 2015, would allow for emergency deployments of U.S. Border Patrol agents, DEA agents, and ATF agents in states that declare an "international border security emergency." Improvements to border security are also proposed, including new equipment, technology, and vehicles for agents, in order to prevent various forms of crime including crossing into the United States at any location other than an authorized port of entry.

H.R. 52: 

Save America Comprehensive Immigration Act of 2015

NumbersUSA's Position:  

Oppose

H.R.52, the Save America Comprehensive Immigration Act of 2015, would grant amnesty to 11 million illegal alien living in the United States. The legislation would also double the caps in chain migration categories, double the visa lottery, grant amnesty to foreign citizens who currently have Temporary Protected Status, and repeal any bans on funding for sanctuary cities. The legislation does include some improvements to border security.

NumbersUSA Education & Research Foundation provides a civil forum for Americans of all political and ethnic backgrounds to focus on a single issue, the numerical level of U.S. immigration. We educate opinion leaders, policymakers and the public on immigration legislation, policies and their consequences. We favor reductions in immigration numbers toward traditional levels that would allow present and future generations of Americans to enjoy a stabilizing U.S. population and a high degree of individual liberty, mobility, environmental quality, worker fairness and fiscal responsibility.

Those who need to refer to NumbersUSA with a short, descriptive modifier should call it an “immigration-reduction organization.”
