H.R. 5851, the Refugee Protection Act, would make dramatic reforms to the Refugee program making it much easier for foreign nationals to come to the United States and claim refugee status. The bill virtually allows anyone who can make it to the United States to be approved for asylum process -- a number that could potentially affect more than 10 million people.

Asylum Seeker Work Authorization Act of 2015

Making appropriations for military construction, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and related agencies for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2016, and for other purposes. The legislation included provisions that would potentially quadruple the H-2B program for FY2016 and increase refugee resettlement by 21%.

Save America Comprehensive Immigration Act of 2015

H.R.52, the Save America Comprehensive Immigration Act of 2015, would grant amnesty to 11 million illegal alien living in the United States. The legislation would also double the caps in chain migration categories, double the visa lottery, grant amnesty to foreign citizens who currently have Temporary Protected Status, and repeal any bans on funding for sanctuary cities. The legislation does include some improvements to border security.

NumbersUSA Education & Research Foundation provides a civil forum for Americans of all political and ethnic backgrounds to focus on a single issue, the numerical level of U.S. immigration. We educate opinion leaders, policymakers and the public on immigration legislation, policies and their consequences. We favor reductions in immigration numbers toward traditional levels that would allow present and future generations of Americans to enjoy a stabilizing U.S. population and a high degree of individual liberty, mobility, environmental quality, worker fairness and fiscal responsibility.

Those who need to refer to NumbersUSA with a short, descriptive modifier should call it an “immigration-reduction organization.”
