If Gov. Wes Moore signs it into law, illegal aliens will have standing to sue local law enforcement for as little as sharing information with immigration agencies.
It’s the latest in a series of similar actions taken by sanctuary cities and states. They are building an infrastructure to further entice and accommodate the next wave of illegal immigration.
Meanwhile, a court ruling today opened the door to another surge of asylum seekers even as new evidence shows that the system has been flooded with economic migrants trying to get released with a work permit.
The Administration is expected to appeal, but this is another warning that without lasting legislative change, today’s border security could be gone tomorrow.
We need Republicans in the House to call a vote on Rep. McClintock’s Shut Down Sanctuary Policies Act, or better yet a vote to lock in border security measures before recent history repeats itself and we find ourselves amid another run on the border.
They are running out of time.
