The 15 GOP Hopefuls square off again tonight at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif. to debate the issues currently facing the country. The second Republican debate for the 2016 Presidential Nomination is happening tonight.  We hope that all of the candidates will have a chance to address immigration and clarify their positions on some of the most crucial immigration problems our nation is facing. Birthright Citizenship Myths vs Truths

Published:

Wed, Aug 19th 2015 @ 2:55 pm EDT

MYTH: The main problem with birthright citizenship is that it provides an enticement for illegal immigration and increases the number of dual citizens.

TRUTH: Anchor babies are the main problem because it allows illegal alien parents to stay in the U.S.

NumbersUSA Education & Research Foundation provides a civil forum for Americans of all political and ethnic backgrounds to focus on a single issue, the numerical level of U.S. immigration. We educate opinion leaders, policymakers and the public on immigration legislation, policies and their consequences. We favor reductions in immigration numbers toward traditional levels that would allow present and future generations of Americans to enjoy a stabilizing U.S. population and a high degree of individual liberty, mobility, environmental quality, worker fairness and fiscal responsibility.

Those who need to refer to NumbersUSA with a short, descriptive modifier should call it an “immigration-reduction organization.”
