Immigration Panel Advocates Less Family-Based Immigration

An immigration panel set up by the Brookings Institution and Duke University has advocated that the current "diversity" visa lottery be abolished, tighter restrictions be placed on family-based immigration, and that workplace verification be required before any amnesty is considered.

New Report Debunks Pro-Amnesty Arguments

Obama Administration to Run Immigration Checks on All Prisoners

The Obama Administration has stated its intention to expand the Secure Communities program, which verifies the immigration status of prisoners in federal and state jails, to all local jails. If this program is expanded, about 1.4 million criminal illegal aliens would be deported each year.

NumbersUSA Education & Research Foundation provides a civil forum for Americans of all political and ethnic backgrounds to focus on a single issue, the numerical level of U.S. immigration. We educate opinion leaders, policymakers and the public on immigration legislation, policies and their consequences. We favor reductions in immigration numbers toward traditional levels that would allow present and future generations of Americans to enjoy a stabilizing U.S. population and a high degree of individual liberty, mobility, environmental quality, worker fairness and fiscal responsibility.

Those who need to refer to NumbersUSA with a short, descriptive modifier should call it an “immigration-reduction organization.”
