Pres. Biden has proposed amnesty for more than 11 million illegal aliens, a massive expansion of legal immigration, and the dismantling of enforcement if yet to be released legislation is anything like an outline provided by the new Administration hours before Biden was sworn in as the 46th President of the United States.
While the nation may have been keeping a keen eye on the capitol today for the Presidential Inauguration, Washington is also abuzz with the process of confirming Joe Biden’s cabinet. With many controversial picks, one of the most shocking appointments was Alejandro Mayorkas to head the Department of Homeland Security.
Sen. Tom Cotton is warning his fellow lawmakers not to be "fooled" by Joe Biden's unprecedented upcoming blanket amnesty of 11 million illegal aliens currently residing in the United States, which Cotton says will do nothing but pay "lip service" to immigration enforcement around the country.
President-Elect Biden plans to ask Congress immediately after his inauguration to offer amnesty to approximately 11 million illegal aliens, as well as offer the legislature new legislation to provide a “pathway to citizenship” for millions more.
The clock has run out for the Trump Administration to move forward an interim final "G-Verify" rule that would require employers to file their "I-9" employment verification forms online. That would allow federal officials to actually see the forms and whether procedures were properly followed to prevent hiring of illegal aliens. Currently, employers can fill out the forms and just stuff them into their desk drawers.
Human trafficking continues because the U.S. government refuses to take adequate steps to combat illegal immigration. Amnesty will only encourage more of the same. Border security and interior enforcement -- not lip service to the "rule of law" -- are necessary to end this scourge.
Vice President-Elect, Kamala Harris recently outlined the immigration goals of the Biden Administration in an interview with Univision. The plan includes an eight-year "pathway to citizenship" for illegal aliens, even shorter pathway for TPS and Dreamers, more refugees, more temporary workers, and less protection for Americans and already present immigrants.
A federal judge, late last week, ordered the Trump administration to fully restore the DACA program, which amnesties illegal aliens brought to the U.S. as minors from deportation, included in the order was a mandate to begin accepting new applications.
Six Senate and House Republicans are reportedly expected to meet with amnesty advocates comprised of corporate donors and members of the open border lobby with the intention of “building bipartisanship on immigration reform.”
