Americans' Protests Rising Against Pelosi's & Obama's Preference for Illegal Foreign Workers

The White House switchboard is barely holding on. Fax machines there and in congressional offices are churning out Americans' protest in peak mode. Pres. Obama and House Speaker Pelosi have started a grassroots rebellion with their new statements of prioritizing illegal foreign workers over unemployed Americans. How angry are you? Let me count the ways . . .
Dear Roy: I can’t get through to the White House to protest the Hispanic Caucus plans. Maybe that’s a good sign.-- Lyneil Vandermolen, Oregonians for Immigration Reform
Lyneil, we're hearing this all day. You are jamming the White House phones with your protests. (The White House comment line number is: 202-456-1111 (if the comment line is busy, try calling the White House switchboard at 202-456-1414))
LATE-NIGHT FAXING MADNESS
- At 8 p.m. last night (Tuesday), I notified the public of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus' planned visit to the White House on Wednesday to call for an end to immigration enforcement -- and to tell the public about Nancy Pelosi's video that enforcing immigration laws is un-American.
- At 1:30 a.m., I received our regular 4-hour report and learned that our NumbersUSA computers had already processed 37,883 fax orders from the grassroots to the White House and Congress!
- When I got up this morning, the report for 1:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m found another 9,740 faxes sent in the dead of night.
- And as America was waking up between 5:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. this morning, they sent 17,416 more.
- That makes about 65,000 faxes that Americans sent to the White House and Congress in the first 12 hours of learning about the outrageous development overnight.
- Between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. today, another 36,362 protest faxes were ordered.
(ADDED THURSDAY MORNING: All told on Wednesday, Americans used NumbersUSA's website to send 101,644 faxes in reaction.)
TOP FEDERAL LEADERS SUPPORT LABOR-MARKET ANARCHY
Thanks to the work of Californians for Population Stabilization, people watching cable TV and the internet today were treated to repetitive playing of a video of Speaker Pelosi telling a pro-amnesty crowd that many -- if not all -- forms of immigration enforcement are "un-American." And she cheered the crowd of illegal aliens and champions of illegal aliens as being "very, very, patriotic."
Then, Pres. Obama added fuel to the fires of anarchy after meeting with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
The official White House statement said Mr. Obama pledged to work with the Hispanic Caucus on immigration. It said Mr. Obama will go to Mexico next month and meet with Pres. Caderon to discuss how they can work together for "comprehensive immigration reform," which is the phrase used by all open-border advocates for an amnesty for illegal aliens and for greatly increased legal levels of immigration. The White House website says the Obama Administration is committed to "bring people out of the shadows" and make "undocumented immigrants" into U.S. citizens.
Laura Isensee of the Dallas Morning News reported after the meeting of the Hispanic Caucus at the White House:
'The president said more than any of us expected him to say,' said Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill. 'He was clear, eloquent and determined in letting us know that we're all together on the route to comprehensive immigration reform.'Obama told the group that he will work immigration system in a similar way that he has rolled out other major policy initiatives. There will be a public forum on immigration, possibly within the next two months. At that forum, key principles of a legislative package would be unveiled, Gutierrez said.
We now see the pattern in which significant numbers of federal officials and national commentators say increasingly outrageous things to numb the public into thinking that their radical ideas are somehow within the spectrum of reasonable alternatives.
Unless Americans respond immediately and with shock and awe force, these radical ideas will soon be accepted as mainstream in Washington.
What Obama, Pelosi and the Hispanic Caucus advocate amounts to "labor-market anarchy." If you don't enforce the immigration laws -- or if you allow those who break the laws to keep their jobs here after paying taxes, learning English and perhaps paying a fine -- you have effectively opened up U.S. jobs to anybody in the world who can figure out a way to get here. I heard on NPR the other day that around 1 BILLION people in the world make less than $1 a day. How many of them do you suppose would be enticed to come here to compete for U.S. jobs if we scuttled immigration enforcement?
This, of course, is exactly what today's Robber Barons and their lackeys at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce want -- a globalized labor market where American workers can be driven down to the very low global average of pay, benefits and working conditions. Does this sound exagerated? I think so. But stop and really consider what the new statements from Pelosi and Obama actually would mean in practical application.
AMERICANS NEED AN OUTLET FOR PROTEST, AND WE'RE IT
It is not enough to be incensed, disappointed or depressed.
Only when Members of Congress and the Administration can actually see/hear the protest do we have a chance of backing down these radical ideas.
In many ways, we can be thankful to Pelosi and the Hispanic Caucus for making it so clear and so public what the master plan is for bringing revolutionary change to our domestic labor markets. It is out in the open. Unless enough Americans shoot down this trial balloon, it will carry us off into land beyond our worst nightmares.
Make sure you have considered sending all the faxes on your Action Buffet. If you have not previously registered to send faxes, do so here.
And please enlist all of your friends to send one or more of these messages of protest to burst that frightening trial balloon.
