The Census Bureau data, recently released, from the 2019 American Community Survey (ACS) shows the number of immigrants (legal and illegal), grew more slowly from 2017 to 2019 than in prior years, however, the nation's immigrant population still hit a new record of 44.9 million in July 2019.

DOJ, DHS Aim to Restrict Asylum for Criminal Aliens

The Supreme Court announced that it will hear oral arguments on a challenge to the Trump Administration’s Migrant Protection Protocols. Announced at the height of last year’s border surge, the Migrant Protection Protocols require inadmissible aliens who claim asylum to remain in Mexico until their asylum hearing occurs.

Supreme Court to review border wall funding, asylum policies

The Supreme Court today said that it would review a pair of legal disputes over some Trump Administration immigration directives, including the use of military funds to build a border barrier along the US-Mexico border and a policy requiring asylum-seekers to remain in Mexico while their cases went through immigration courts.

Federal Judge orders ICE to reduce migrants at Adelanto detention center in fear of COVID-19

NumbersUSA Education & Research Foundation provides a civil forum for Americans of all political and ethnic backgrounds to focus on a single issue, the numerical level of U.S. immigration. We educate opinion leaders, policymakers and the public on immigration legislation, policies and their consequences. We favor reductions in immigration numbers toward traditional levels that would allow present and future generations of Americans to enjoy a stabilizing U.S. population and a high degree of individual liberty, mobility, environmental quality, worker fairness and fiscal responsibility.

Those who need to refer to NumbersUSA with a short, descriptive modifier should call it an “immigration-reduction organization.”
