If you've read or seen reports from the media this week, or heard Biden Administration officials talk about the border, you might think that the border crisis is beginning to wind down. Yes, the number of illegal border crossings has lessened. But the illegal aliens showing up at ports of entry along the Southwest border in June hit its highest level since Pres. Biden took office in 2021.

The Green Mountain State and its taxpayers are the latest casualty of the notoriously corrupt EB-5 program. Who would have thought an immigration program selling United States citizenship to the highest bidder would be prone to fraud?

It isn’t even Christmas in July yet, but the Biden Administration is making a list and checking it twice. Too bad they want to reward the naughty, not the nice. Reading the smoke signals, it appears Biden is shelving the Trump era rule tying H-1B visa allocation to the petitions offering the highest wages, rather than the current random lottery system.

The New York Times is really digging deep to slap a sunny narrative on the state of emergency in New York City due to the border crisis. What they have come up with is the “great development” that migrant women desperate for work are joining the dangerous construction industry.

In an 8-1 decision, the Supreme Court has absolved the Federal Government from the requirement to faithfully execute the laws passed by the duly elected Congress. The issue here was whether the Biden Administration could promulgate enforcement priorities contrary to the laws passed by Congress.

Four out of five Americans say the area where they live either has enough people living there, or is already too crowded. The U.S. Census Bureau predicts that America's population will grow by another 70 million in the next 40 years, with immigration accounting for roughly 90%.

We have some more worker exploitation news, and this one is a doozy. Che Garibaldi Inc., operator of Taqueria Garibaldi, brought in a ‘priest’ for employees during work hours. This ‘priest’ would hear confessions and encourage employees to “get the sins out.” He seemed very focused on getting out the real seven deadly sins–namely whether they came in late or took their employer’s name in vain.

NumbersUSA Education & Research Foundation provides a civil forum for Americans of all political and ethnic backgrounds to focus on a single issue, the numerical level of U.S. immigration. We educate opinion leaders, policymakers and the public on immigration legislation, policies and their consequences. We favor reductions in immigration numbers toward traditional levels that would allow present and future generations of Americans to enjoy a stabilizing U.S. population and a high degree of individual liberty, mobility, environmental quality, worker fairness and fiscal responsibility.

Those who need to refer to NumbersUSA with a short, descriptive modifier should call it an “immigration-reduction organization.”
