Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) grilled Dept. of Homeland Security Cheif, Jeh Johnson, on the Administration's catch and release of illegal aliens scheduled for deportation. The exchange is shocking. You can watch the short video below.

Sessions: “How many aliens with final orders of removal are currently in the United States and have not been removed?”

Johnson: “I don’t have the number sitting here right now. I'm sure it is a large number by your measure and mine.”

The Treasury Department warned that illegal immigrants are collecting billions in refundable tax credits to which they are not legally entitled. An amendment proposed by Senator Sessions (R-AL) would simply require tax filers to provide a valid Social Security number to claim the Additional Child Tax Credit. Democrats voted unanimously to block the amendment, but it still passed by a vote of 12-10.

The Center for Immigration Studies published online for the first time an evaluation of the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), the large-scale amnesty Congress passed in 1986. The publication contains a new foreword by one of the original authors that compares the IRCA amnesty to President Obama’s unilateral executive amnesties. The author, David North, suggests IRCA’s extensive fraud will repeat under Obama’s executive actions, especially since they do not incorporate IRCA’s minimal fraud protections.

In a court filing Justice Department attorneys informed Judge Andrew Hanen that 100,000 DACA program recipients received extended benefits, including work permits, prior to when the judge issued an injunction halting all program activity. Under prior direct questioning by the judge on the subject benefit issuance, Justice attorneys omitted having issued benefits before DACA’s February 18 start date.
