Center for Immigration Studies Honduran Survey

Updated:

Wed, Feb 10th 2016 @ 1:16 pm EST

The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) recently found and analyzed a Honduran survey that showed that the increase of Honduran migrants to the U.S. is being caused by economic issues, not violence as the Obama administration has claimed. The survey was conducted by a Honduran research and social action center in Spanish and had 1,571 participants and a 95% confidence level.

Thu, Feb 11th 2016 @ 11:05 am EST  by  Roy Beck

Today Republican voters again expressed their feelings of betrayal by the Republican Party establishment. Trump was elevated with his promises to defy the party leaders on immigration expansionism in which the concerns of workers are a low priority. The Iowa and New Hampshire contests have been won by the two candidates -- Cruz and Trump -- who have most clearly championed immigration policies that support American worker."

Breitbart News reports Donald Trump provided answers to a list of fundamental questions that Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., posed for those seeking the GOP nomination. Sen. Sessions said his questions concerning immigration and trade were important enough that “the voters should say, ‘If you’re not going to be right on those, I’m not voting for you in this primary and I’m not going to vote for you as president.’”

Mark Thies, Professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering at Clemson University, wrote an op-ed in the Greenville Online that disproved the idea that there is a shortage of American STEM workers available and that bills such as the I-Squared Act, which Sen. Rubio supports, would destroy the already limited opportunities for American STEM students to find jobs in their fields.

The jobs report for January was just released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Fewer jobs were created than anticipated, wage growth was better but still sluggish (perplexing some economists because of the “tightening labor market”), and it was revealed that exports fell 4.8% in 2015.

Pres, Obama Catch and Release

Updated:

Thu, Feb 4th 2016 @ 3:39 pm EST

The Obama administration has reinstated the catch and release policy forcing Border Patrol to release any illegal aliens “claiming” to have been in the country since January 2014, without ordering them to appear at a deportation hearing. This essentially ignores our immigration laws and grants illegal aliens the right to remain in the country.

NumbersUSA Education & Research Foundation provides a civil forum for Americans of all political and ethnic backgrounds to focus on a single issue, the numerical level of U.S. immigration. We educate opinion leaders, policymakers and the public on immigration legislation, policies and their consequences. We favor reductions in immigration numbers toward traditional levels that would allow present and future generations of Americans to enjoy a stabilizing U.S. population and a high degree of individual liberty, mobility, environmental quality, worker fairness and fiscal responsibility.

Those who need to refer to NumbersUSA with a short, descriptive modifier should call it an “immigration-reduction organization.”
