84% of voters favor stricter border security

Polls Support Tougher Enforcement - Tuesday, March 5, 2013

A Fox News poll finds that 84% favor strengthening border security to prevent illegal aliens from entering the country. while only 13% oppose it. 

69% of voters favor requiring completion of new border security measures first before making other changes to immigration policy. Only 25% do not favor this.

Politically, 81% of Republicans, 62% of Democrats and 60% of independents all favor strengthening the borders first. 

Some 72% of voters favor a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens, while 25% oppose it.

Politically, 92% of Republicans and 77% of Democrats support strengthening the borders. While 82% of Democrats and 63% of Republicans support a pathway to citizenship.
