Charles Breiterman's Picture

In my blog from Thursday, June 18, I looked at the historical views of black Americans towards massive immigration of low-skilled labor. For today’s African-Americans regarding illegal immigration, there seems to be a divergence between the leadership and the rank-and-file. Terry Anderson, a radio host in Los Angeles, airs his views in a two part video interview that is posted on the CAPS website. The link was sent to me by a NumbersUSA member who wrote, “Everyone at NumbersUSA needs to see these radio interviews.”

In Part I, starting at time index 4:39, Mr. Anderson says: “The black rank and file, you talk to them in the grocery store, when you go to Pep Boys and talk to them, you go to the bank and talk to them, they will tell you they are fed up with this invasion. But the leaders will not let the public know that.”

In Part 2, starting at time index 2:50, Mr. Anderson says: “My great grandfather was a slave in the state of Louisiana. ... And one of the great moments in our history was the day we were emancipated. We were emancipated with the civil war, but we still had to have something passed that said, officially, we were no longer property, we were now citizens, and anything born to us were citizens. That was written for my ancestors, okay? Having said that, we’ve got a new misinterpretation of it that everybody from the world has used to come here and have babies that make them American citizens. It is wrong. It is a misinterpretation. And it angers me personally because it was written for my ancestors and now it is being misused ... I am suffering from that and my kids and my grandkids are going to suffer because they took an amendment meant for us and turned it around against us. That’s outrageous.”

If you're having difficulty watching the video, you can also see it on the CAPS website.

There should be a black talk show host in Washington, DC who could mobilize the Blacks there in counter protest. The latino talk show hosts who favor amnesty and publicize marches have gone without their being confronted for too long. Washington, DC has black high unemployment, high black underemployment, and despite growing numbers of Latinos and illegal aliens, DC is mostly black. Though the DC blacks have a representative who can't vote; they're located at the center of power of the nation and can easily capture the attention of the press.

There's no way to disagree with anything that Terry has said, EXCEPT...the same thing goes for the white race. The ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS are taking over this country in every way at the tax payers' expense and that isn’t them. Not only do they come here against the law of the land, but they bring their whole family.
I'm for immigrants…..after the Americans that want work have it. If there's a surplus, let the LEGAL immigrants have them. That's the way it's done in other countries, and I know. I know because I have lived outside of this country and the way it works is, if they cannot fill the job position with one of their own then, and only then, can an immigrant get the job. That's the way it should be done here.
I'm very disappointed with Obama. I voted for him because he said he was for Americans! His actions prove otherwise. Next election he Will Not get my vote.
Thank you Terry for speaking up; just remember it isn’t only blacks that are being harmed in this issue, speak for all of us. - Roberta Lee

I live on the East coast and never heard of Terry Anderson. Having heard him now, I only wish we had some local broadcasters who'd do what he's doing so effectively: telling the unvarnished truth about what mass immigration and illegal immigration do to working people.

Thank you for making this video available. I plan to share it widely.

I'm very happy to hear Terry Anderson speaking out on this subject. I'm extremely concerned that illegal immigrants are taking jobs from American citizens, particularly Black Americans. I listen to news almost all day and evening long and haven't heard ANYONE speak out about Blacks and other American Citizens losing their jobs to illegal immigrants. It's simply outrageous that none of the black leaders in this Country have spoken out against illegal immigration and the loss of jobs to our Black legal citizens!! I'm Caucasian and have a nephew in Virginia who complains about illegals taking jobs, charging less, frequently doing poor quality of work and causing workers in those professions to have a bad name.
I also wonder how many of these illegals are abused by employers in this Country and have no legal recourse because of their status!
