ARIZONA/MEXICO BORDER -- "We're seeing a lot more babies crossing through here now," Barbara Barnett told me, as we sat on her patio looking out over her and her husband Roger's geologically dramatic, sprawling desert cattle ranch.

One thing that feels much clearer from this vantage point is that the increasingly risky and irresponsible behavior of illegal-alien crossers is being spurred by the politicians back in Washington who continue to undercut  immigration enforcement and who  promise huge rewards for those who violate immigration laws.

 Armed with increasingly sophisticated night-vision aides, they have tracked the trends of illegal-alien traffic across their property for a decade
