A report from Politico.com says that the Democratic House Leadership will not hold a vote on the DREAM Act Amnesty bill during the first week of the lame-duck session. Reports from earlier this week said otherwise. The House convenes on Monday, November 15.
According to a schedule released by House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer's office, there are no votes scheduled on the DREAM Act during the first week of the lame-duck session. Instead, the House will focus on non-controversial bills and resolutions.
The House will also hold its leadership elections for the 112th Congress next week.
