Federal immigration officials arrested 27 people in Nebraska last week as part of an operation aimed at finding illegal aliens who disobeyed deportation orders.
The arrests were made by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Fugitive Operations Team. The team's priority is to make arrests where there is a perceived threat to national security or community safety.
The 27 arrested were jailed in Hall County in Nebraska, which has a federal contract to house people suspected of illegal immigration.
