A former employee of Henningsen Foods in David City, Neb. has filed a suit against the company charging that they knowingly hired undocumented workers and gave them preferential treatment. The former worker was fired from the plant in 2007 and the charges are part of a wrongful-termination lawsuit against the plant.

Henningsen is an Omaha-based food supplier specializing in egg products and dehydrated meat and poultry products. The former employee said that she was fired for missing work or being late too many times, but she alleges that that illegal aliens missed just as much work and weren't fired. She also alleges that the company recruited illegal workers and knew that they were using falsified documents.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement has no knowledge of any past investigations with the company.
