Earth Day Sustainability Record

The grades above indicate how well this Member of Congress has been performing on one of the most important public policies affecting the United States' ability to become an environmentally sustainable society.

"A-Grade" Members earn deep congratulations on this the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. "F-Grade" Members are making the Earth Day vision of the future impossible to achieve.

President Clinton's Task Force on Consumption and Population concluded that it is not possible to have environmental sustainability without dramatically reducing overall immigration to allow for a stabilizing U.S. population.

Instead, Congress has maintained immigration numbers quadruple the traditional average. Immigration policies result in new immigrants and births to immigrants that account for nearly all of the population explosion that currently challenges all U.S. environmental efforts.

NumbersUSA grades all immigration actions on the basis of how they either force more population growth or how they would try to reduce the population pressures on the environment.

For details on all actions graded on this Report Card and how the grades were calculated, go to http://www.CongressGrades.org. If you see anything that you believe is in error, please contact NumbersUSA's Helpdesk at www.NumbersUSA.com/helpdesk.
"No Grade" means that the Member did not challenge the Status Quo policies that in total are adding 900,000 new permanent foreign workers a year, are allowing 7 million illegal aliens to keep their jobs, and are forcing around 2.5 million more people a year onto the overloaded physical, natural and social infrastructures of our communities.
