Candidate Notes

First and foremost we must secure our borders. We owe it to our citizens to utilize EVERY means necessary to secure our border including utilization of the National Guard, which I will continue to be a part of while serving this district.

Second, entering the United States illegally is a crime and those who do so must be dealt with in accordance with the law. Those with criminal backgrounds should be repatriated to their home countries immediately and without question.

Third, I would support long term work visas for those who would like to come to our country and work. These visas, which would require a background check, could be long term and afford these individuals the opportunity to raise a family, educate their children, own a home, pay taxes, and be a part of our society.

The United States was founded on and should remain true to our heritage of individuals immigrating to our country. However, we must ensure that our immigration policies provide the level of security required to keep our families safe from the many threats that exist but also allow a path for those who legally are looking to become a productive member of the United States of America.
