Refugees/Asylees: S. 1923 (1994)

S. 1923, the Immigration Stabilization Act of 1994, would have limited refugee admissions to 50,000 annually, thereby reducing the potential for abuse of the system. It also would have reformed the asylum system to reduce fraud. Overall, the bill would have reduced legal immigration by more than 3.8 million over a 10-year period.
