H.R. 402 would allow Governors to refuse resettlements in their states and apply to The United States Refugee Admissions Program, paroled refugees/aliens, and unaccompanied alien children - but would not apply to asylum-seekers.
H.R. 85 would grant jurisdiction over immigration cases brought by aliens challenging removal or other action under the Immigration and Nationality Act exclusively to the D.C. District Court - allowing the development of immigration expertise in a single court.
The "Break the Chain Act" would eliminate the practice of Chain Migration by narrowing the definition of "immediate relatives," which are currently not subject to any numerical limits. H.R. 213 also reduces the baseline cap on family-sponsored visas and applies said cap to children and spouses of sponsoring green card holders.
