Informed sources are telling our Capitol Hill Team that the Obama Administration plans to announce today or tomorrow new orders and rules that will gut most of the improvements in fighting illegal immigration at the end of the Bush Administration.
The Big Business Lobbyists apparently are getting nearly everything they want from Pres. Obama when it comes to favoring cheap foreign labor over unemployed Americans.
GUTTING PROPOSED RULE THAT WOULD HAVE KEPT ILLEGAL ALIENS OUT OF MOST STIMULUS JOBS
One big result of the new executive order will be to ensure that taxpayer-funded jobs under the Economic Stimulus Act can continue to go to illegal foreign workers.
Under an Executive Order issued by Pres. Bush last year, all federal contractors would have to verify their workforce through E-Verify. DHS Chief Janet Napolitano has several times delayed the execution of that order, claiming she was still studying it.
Now, it appears she was studying how to amputate it.
We are told that the new Obama Executive Order will retain the language requiring contractors to verify new hires. But it will eliminate the language requiring them to verify all previously employed workers on the contract.
That means that all the illegal aliens already working for federal contractors can keep their jobs and unemployed Americans will not have a chance at them.
I talked with a former official of the Department of Homeland Security who said there has been buzz about filling the new Executive Order full of loopholes so that federal contractors can "launder" newly hired illegal aliens through a part of the company not doing federal contracts and then transfer them to the federal contract jobs without having to put them through E-Verify.
ELIMINATING 'NO-MATCH' RULE AND PUTTING HONEST BUSINESSES AT RISK
Napolitano is also expected to rescind the Bush Administration's enhanced "no-match letter" rule. This new action will expose employers who try to obey the law to lawsuits if they terminate workers who submitted fake or stolen social security numbers.
The Bush rule would have required the Social Security Administration to send out letters to every employer on every employee whose Social Security number and personal data don't match (almost always because they are illegal aliens). The Bush rule would have pushed employers to fire their illegal workers.
It appears that Napolitano will kill that rule and revert to the old system under which SSA sends out unenforceable letters to employers of 10 or more mismatches. And the old system tends to make it more dangerous for an employer to fire illegal workers than to keep them.
PRESS CONGRESS TO END THIS MADNESS
I will grant that the Obama Administration has been forced to do some maneuvering because of lawsuits by Big Business that claim Congress hasn't given the executive branch full authority to do all contained in the Bush Executive Orders.
This, however, looks like a total surrender to the Lobbyists of Greed.
Congress should for once stand up for the American workers and settle this right now.
I hope you the reader will spread this blog far and wide along with this link to send faxes to Members of Congress urging them to quickly pass a law mandating:
More than 14 million unemployed Americans would love to have the millions of jobs that would be opened up almost immediately if Congress would pass such a law.
NEWS FLASH: HOUSE APPROPRIATORS TO VOTE ON E-VERIFY FRIDAY
The House Appropriations Committee has a chance Friday to limit a lot of the damage that Obama is promising.
Rep. Kingston of Georgia plans to re-introduce an amendment he has tried a number of times. It would require all federal contractors to run their employees through E-Verify. It would be on spending bills that are being marked up Friday. Take a look at the committee members and give them a call encouraging them to start protecting American workers NOW!

I think I have finally figured out how to fix this. I am going to send my husband to Mexico, where he can renounce his American citizenship. Since he is in excellent physical condition, he should have no trouble running past border security. He can then take one of the millions of jobs Obama allows illegal aliens to take, thus PUTTING HIM BACK TO WORK FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FIFTEEN MONTHS.

Using 2005 reported figures, 12 million illegal aliens cost taxpayers $65 billion a year in services like welfare, etc., plus they sent $20 billion a year "home" to their native country. Not only does this $20 billion a year enter a foreign economy when it should be going back into our American businesses, illegals were able to send it "home" by taking American jobs from our citizens.
We all know that the reported 12 million illegals was underestimated with a more reasonable estimate being 15 to 20 million illegals with a yearly increase since 2005. With this information, I feel it's safe to assume that the total $85 billion we spend or lose yearly on illegal aliens is also underestimated, especially when Americans lose their jobs to the same illegal aliens who also benefit from services our citizens pay for, sometimes receiving both jobs and services.
Over a 10 year period this translates into $850 billion, nearly $1 trillion, in U.S. money that is never recovered. Add to that the lost American wages from 7 million jobs reportedly held by illegal aliens in 2005, along with other factors, and I contend that illegal aliens have been a major influence on the economic "crisis" our country is experiencing right now.
And Obama has promised to make it permanent with another amnesty while chain migration still exists????

Anyone who supports amnesty must be impeached. Period. As for the Secretary of Homeland Security, if I were President, I would have her fired in a heart beat, exiled from America and replaced by someone who TRULY cares about protecting serving the interests of the very citizens and legal residents.
After hearing about the voting down of the E-Verify, I'm no doubt so filled with anger it is beyond words.

I have discovered some interesting connections to many of the people Obama chooses. They have worked for the huge, international, McKinsey Consulting Group. There is even an Enron connection to this group, Skilling. Wikipedia has really interesting info, unless they have removed it. One of the names mentioned as possible for the new "cap and trade" is in the group. At least two books have been written about their problems.

Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO) was appointed by the governor to fill the seat of Senator Ken Salazar (D-CO) who was appointed Secretary of the Interior.
I received a letter in response to contacting Senator Bennet about E-Verify. In in was this paragraph:
"I believe that our immigration system is broken and we need mechanisms in place to ensure that individuals who are hired in the U.S. are legally eligible to work. I also have concerns about any system that would lead to erroneous firings and discrimination against American workers. Any worker verification system must protect both our economic and national security needs. More broadly, individual issues like E-Verify are best considered in the context of comprehensive immigration reform."
In other words, blah, blah, blah, we're going to use E-Verify as a bargaining chip so we can shove amnesty down your throats.

California's population is about 36,000,000 making the illegal population about one in twelve. Unless you use the higher CAPS estimate in which case it is about one in four. In either case it is too high and though I do not think the CAPS people are right yet if we do nothing it will head in that direction.

To win a war you must fight to win. I look at the border fence then I look at the great wall-hmm. One was built thousands of years agao and STILL works. The other part of that WAR was 99.9% of all attempting to invade were killed.
Another great purpose of the wall was as a fire deterrant, yep.still works for that too.
When the enemy will stop at nothing to win-you must be willing to stop at nothing to stop them.

At each new act of Obama's and his following, I am astounded at the ignorance of the supposedly 'enlightened'!!! That is just what the Obama camp act like, they are the enlightened ones, here to lead the rest of us dullards to where we should be for our own good. We shouldn't think too much about it, just be thankful that they are there to take care of us with all their knowledge and wisdom. SO we see our fellow American citizen kicked to the curb by our own President and Congress and should just calmly accept that they know that illegals should be given preference over our own people. If I am not mistaken, he was sworn to defend AMERICANS, not aliens. His first priority is the AMERICAN citizen, not the alien. Anytime he gives an alien preference to an alien over an AMERICAN citizen he has violated his sworn duty. He has become a defiler, just as the Democrates accused so many Republicans of becoming. What is his logic? How does he justify such an act? If his priority is to the AMERICAN, how can he give anything (the alien)preference over the citizen? In any instance, at any time, ever? Does he know that we, the unenlightened, are not exactly deaf and dumb and that we notice, talk, ridicule, laugh, about how absurd he and his minions are and we talk about who we will vote for next election?

Bill,
You ask what is Obama's logic. It is very plain and no doubt you have thought of this yourself. I'll put it in one word...VOTES. If the illegals are granted amnesty, the democrats will gain so many votes that they will be un-assailible for years to come. Say they gain amnesty for 20 million illegals. That would instantly give them from 5 to 7 million new democrat votes. Now enter chain migration. Now 30 to 50 million more family members and relatives easily gain amnesty in America due to our current chain migration laws. Here we go with 10 to 13 million more voters to join the democratic voter ranks, on top of the 5 to 7 million new voters already granted amnesty. With up to 20 million new democratic votes the democrats will maintain POWER in congress for years to come. Then we will be forced to take whatever they throw at us. The stakes could not be higher for American Families and the American People. This is a trajedy in the making and to save our culture and values we must fight back with every ounce of strength we can muster.
That is my take on it and many Americans agree. the facts add up. I pray we can stop it before it is too late.

The truth of the matter is that any party will do the same thing to use what they can for votes. Look at the Republicans they had control and did nothing about either, even made it worse by not doing anything. I think we can not look at this problem Democrat or Republican it is America's problem and if we do not start some where to get started we are going to be even in worse shape when someone try's to anything. I do not have the answers to this problem and can see that any party will allow some kind of amnesty and send the rest home. Now would be a good time because there is a lot gone home now because it is so bad here. I have seen a big drop in the use in construction here in Florida. But the E-Verify is only as good as the people enforcing it. The ICE Raids on the chicken plants claimed to have used this check system. We need something that is going to grantee the worker is good and penalties on the contractor that uses them. Just check out these sites.

Daniel6247, illegal immigration has a HUGE impact on the California budget meltdown. The quotes below come from FAIR, another lower immigration web site:
"FAIR estimates California’s illegal alien population has grown to 3,200,000, a 10.3 percent increase. As a result of both the continued growth in the illegal alien population and the higher cost of governmental services, the current fiscal cost outlays for the illegal alien population in California are now approaching $13.1 billion annually more than half the projected shortfall for next year."
Other articles state that 84 hospitals have been forced to close in California because they've lost so much money treating illegals.

I imagine these 14,000,000 unemployed worker's, their relatives both immediate and distant, as well as neighbors and friends have been watching very closely their so-called leaders in Congress. I wonder how many voters that may amount to! And considering that foreign worker's both legal and illegal and those incarcerated or dead do not vote, it should amount to a lot of very PO'd voters come election time.

Here is the excerpt from Newt Gingrich's speech the other night where he called for more H-1 visas.
"We must have a system of legal temporary workers. We must have a vastly expanded system of H1 visas for highly qualified workers."
How can he be calling for an "expanded system of H1 visas" for foreigners when there are 14 million Americans who are unemployed, many of them, I'm sure, very highly qualified.
On the one hand he says he is very pro-American and seems to be against illegal migration, but calling for more HI visas can not possibly be pro those 14 million Americans currently of work and would only worsen the illegal "squatting" problem at the expiration of their visa periods when they don't go back to wherever they came from.
Am I missing something here?

Unlike people on this blog, the immigration issue has impacted electability in the wrong way - going against open borders loses you block votes for sure but fighting for lower immigration nets you almost nothing. I would say 95% of citizens still believe that immigration is under control and is doing good for the country.
Even if it does become a top 3 issue, the power of incumbency is so strong that almost nothing can dislodge an elected congressman or state rep. In our state of MA, there are elected reps who can get elected no matter what they do. One was recently relected even after being indicted.
So a majority opinion on an issue does not worry the reps or the president from repeatedly ignoring it.
NumbersUSA Moderator: An NBC/WSJ poll last year found that 52% of adults believe that immigration hurts the United States more than helps it. MD is absolutely right, we need to educate our friends and neighbors about the overall numbers. Click here for videos to send to your email lists.

E- Verify works so Obama could not enforce it as it runs contrary to his goals.
While the American people have lost and continue losing their jobs and homes and are living on the edge, they were told that the Stimulus Bill needed to be passed to help them. And part of this so-called help, would be in the creation of new jobs, mostly from the government sector. But just as I suspected would happen, jobs creation extends to illegals, not the American people. So the American people are not only not getting the jobs promised, their tax dollars are sponsoring programs to help illegals. It's like in war time, when prisoners are made to dig their own graves and then shot. This is what Obama and his amoral administrations have sanctioned.
Every time I think it can't get worse, it does. I think the American people must focus their efforts on getting Obama impeached. And we must do it ASAP!
It seems his legislative covert moves are always designed to help the illegals population at the peril of our country and our people. He has proven himself to be in violation of our Constitution and he in fact, is a traitor.
NumbersUSA Moderator: Thank you, Elena. We share your frustration. We don't claim to know the reasons why Obama has turned his back on American workers, but there is another way around this executive order -- Congress could pass a law requiring mandatory use of E-Verify.

The bottom line is the government wants more customers...I mean citizens to fund our national debts and maintain our credit rating with international lenders...China, Europe etc. Our government cannot realistically borrow if the lender knows that there aren't enough people to pay it back. Essentially, our governments fiscal irresponsibility over the decades is finally catching up with us, and "immigration by any means necessary" is the only shovel our government can find to dig it's way out of this big hole. The only other option would be a reduction in government borrowing and spending. Supporting illegal immigration is so much easier than reducing the size and power of government. So we shouldn't be so shocked that our government is bending and breaking our immigration laws. They are voting with "their" pocket book. It's our responsibility as citizens of American to hold our elected officials accountable. If you want to vote with "your" pocket book, make a donation to NumbersUSA. The changes to the "no match" rule may significantly increase instances of identy theft in the United States. This crime is already a serious problem, in part because so many foreign nationals who have entered or remained in violation of immigration laws evidently are not unwilling to steal the personal information and resumes of citizens and permanent legal residents in order to obtain employment.

Earlier Today, House Appropriators Rejected E-Verify Amendments; Reps. Price, Obey, and Wasserman-Schultz Spoke Against These Provisions
Earlier this morning, the House Appropriations Committee met to write the annual Homeland Security spending bill and the annual bill that funds Congress for the coming year. At the "mark-up," the Committee rejected two E-Verify related amendments to the Homeland Security bill and another related to the Legislative Branch spending bill. E-Verify is an electronically operated system that ensures American jobs go to American workers by allowing employers to quickly check the work authorization status of their new hires.
Rep. Ken Calvert (R-CA) — a true immigration reformer — offered an amendment to the Homeland Security bill to extend E-Verify. While that bill already contains a short, two-year reauthorization of E-Verify, Congressman Calvert knows the true value of the program and sought a longer extension of E-Verify. After Calvert spoke in support of his amendment, Appropriations Homeland Security Subcommittee Chairman, Rep. David Price (D-NC), spoke against the amendment. Rep. Price urged the entire Committee to vote against the amendment. Then, the Committee Chairman, Rep. David Obey (D-WI), spoke against the amendment, as well. Obey argued that the Homeland Security spending bill shouldn't contain an E-Verify authorization at all!
Immediately following the rejection of the Calvert Amendment, another true immigration reformer — Representative Jack Kingston (R-GA) — offered an amendment to the Homeland Security bill to require companies who contract with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to use E-Verify. This common sense amendment would have ensured that contractors who do business with DHS — the same agency tasked with enforcing our immigration laws — do not hire illegal aliens. Congressman Price AGAIN spoke in opposition to the Kingston amendment, erroneously claiming that E-Verify is inaccurate and that the program would be unable to handle the expansion to DHS contractors. Even though Congressman Kingston pointed out that DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano stated last month that the program could indeed handle a large-scale expansion, and that the program has an incredible accuracy rate of 99.6%, the House Appropriations Committee still rejected the amendment!
Later in the morning, Congressman Kingston attempted to attach a similar E-Verify amendment to the Legislative Branch spending bill. This provision would have required contractors who do business with the U.S. Congress to use E-Verify. This time, Appropriations Legislative Branch Subcommittee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL) urged the Committee to reject the Kingston Amendment.
In speaking out against these amendments, Reps. Price, Obey, and Wasserman-Schultz effectively urged their colleagues to not only put the E-Verify program in jeopardy, but also ensure that illegal aliens can continue to work on federal contracts with DHS and the U.S. Congress!

In my view, the reason none of the actions of our politicians (Democrat and Republican) makes any sense to a normal American is there is an agenda with reference to illegal immigration. A falling caucasian birth rate and aging baby boomers means a guaranteed failure of the Social Security system. The solution? Create a huge number of new contributors to pump up to the fund. That way the politicians hide their mistakes that caused the failure of the system to begin with. Why would "Arnie" be saying, when he knows better, that the financial impact of illegals to California is only 4-5 billion when its actually proven to be 13-14 BILLION. There all liars and greedy elites!

THE LARGEST UNPAID LOBBY IS ...THE PEOPLE
(I wish that was original, but I heard it a couple of months ago and loved it.)
WE NEED MORE NUMBERS - EVERYONE TELL AT LEAST ONE MORE PERSON
Today, I donated $500 plus my usual $100 each month. (For everyone who can't, don't worry about it I've been there), but, if everyone would donate what they can today, and average $50 each, this would come close to the amount the special interest groups are spending.
Even half this, an average of $25 each, might be great since we work smarter than they do. Plus, if everyone got one more member, then only $25 each.
Now is our chance to "give it all we've got" to stop this nonsense once and for all. When I get tired of this, I think about my childrens'futures.
Thank You NumbersUSA, for giving me a voice. What would I do without your wonderful group.

I have been telling several people a week for 3 years about NumberUSA. I chat with people in lines at the post office, cleaners, restaurants, doctors' offices, library, etc. or in my grocery store, etc. It's easy, everyone complains in lines, I then say "When I get frustrated about all the people coming here, I just send e-mails to congress through NumbersUSA.com. They are non-partisan, non-profit and they monitor congress and alert you when congress is trying to sneak something through. (At this point they are usually looking for pen and paper.) Then, I say "it only takes 5 minutes or you can edit, rewrite, personalize as I do and... it's free, but everytime I hear something disturbing about the issues, instead of stressing out, I just go online and give another $100" (which I actually do as much as possible). After 3 years, only two people have not reacted by sincerely thanking me. It feels great to find that most people feel the same about this problem.
Just when I realized that just complaining to each other was not changing anything, a wonderful lady at my grocery store told me about NumbersUSA. Thanks to her.

As a history buff, I can see that the road that we are going down will lead to our downfall. Like the cliche states "Those for forget the lessons of the past are doomed to repeat them". Great Empires like the Roman Empire, Spanish Empire and the British Empire were all doomed by getting "fat and happy". While the modern age has changed the facts this time around of what is pulling the United States down, the results will be the same.
Special Interests tugging in one direction, Jobs flying out of the country at an alarming rate, crime rate escalating by leaps and bounds, crooked banks and lending institutions (BofA started this, but other banks soon joined them. They gave Illegal Aliens credit cards, mortgages and car loans. Where you and I are required to have a LEGITIMATE Social Security Card and then our credit reports are attached to that SS number, the Illegals didn't have one or had a fake one. The banks knew this of couse and even had a policy to NOT ask an Illegal for a Social Security number, as they would then be party to fraud by accepting a false number. Now that the economy is contracting, some Illegals are simply leaving the country, the banks are STUCK with these houses and loan debt and no way to even make sure that the SAME Illegal Alien when returning here when the economy improves that he/she defaulted on any loans (or simply re-applying under a different name). What did the banks do? They had this un-schooled new President with no smarts bail them out of these loans. Tim Geitner came from Goldman Sachs and all his buddies work at the other large bank institutions).
NumbersUSA Moderator: Let's not lose our focus. The vast majority of illegal immigration is due to the availability of JOBS. The best way to reverse the tide of illegal immigration is to remove the jobs magnet. The best way to remove the jobs magnet is E-Verify, which is the point of this blog. Keep calling, keep calling, keep calling.

If what MD2510 said that Governor Arnold said on Lou Dobbs is true, then shame on Arnold. I lived in California when arnold was voted in when we tossed out Governor Grey Davis for selling the state out to Enron. I was happy to vote for Arnold. Yet, if he sides with the Illegal Aliens, then it is now time for Arnold to receive the same fate as Grey Davis and Recall him.
The problem as I see it is that the public, while they tell pollsters that the majority of voters are enraged at what the politicians are doing to our country, yet they then RE-ELECT the same people back in office yet again!! When asked if the majority of politicians are crooked, something like 70% say "yes". Yet, when asked if THEIR politicians are crooked, they say "no, not mine". Which is a direct conflict.
Illegal Aliens are the major cause of many budget deficit crisis in a lot of states, as they are the majority recipients of Entitlement funds. Plus, large percentage of the crime rate. Yet, we NEVER hear of politicians speak of cutting them out of the free swag biz. When I lived in San Diego, there were news stories about the Illegals dying crossing the border. When the government made it tougher to cross in Tijuana, MX into San Diego. the Illegals just moved further east to cross in the barren regions of California. They were dying when crossing the border from lack of food and water and also drowning crossing the river (hence the origin of the name "wetback" many years ago).
So, what did the politicians do? They used taxpayer funds to install telephone poles (they are 30 ft out of the ground, standard) with a large yellow flag on top. Under the poles, the government (OUR government) kept the sites stocked with bottled water, canned food and other supplies (free of course). They also sunk concrete pylons on both sides of the river and then attached a large chain to both sides. So, that the Illegals wouldn't drown while crossing the border, they could use the chain by pulling themselves across river!!!! Our tax dollars pay for this!! I kept the articles out of the newspaper because no one would ever believe this. Of course, it never made the National news, only the local San Diego newpaper. Governor Arnold could save a chunk of money right there, by removing and no longer stocking those sites for a starter.

John of FL,
You make your points very well. I would just disagree with one thing. We are going to crash but will not become a third-world country. Even those countries have a working system and self protections in place which protect their way of living, poorer it may be. Our country has reached a spiraling self-destructive state that many large systems do over time.
The USA wealth built up over generations will be scavenged by social programs and unlimited population growth until it is decimated and then the invaders will move on home or to their next target.

I was just listening to Gov Schwarz-liberal of CA on the LouDobbs show and when asked why in the time of fiscal emergency when all programs are being drastically cut, why not cut off benefits to illegals. He said illegal aliens benefits are not a problem, they are just being scapegoated. When even by official estimates, they account for about 20% of the deficit.
Let alone the direct costs, if you add all the indirect costs, illegal aliens are the MAJOR factor in the problem.
And then he said 'I am happy they are getting those benefits. I would want them also if I was settling in a new country".
I will leave it at that.

What Schwartzenegger (spelling?) seems to forget is these people shouldn't even be here settling!! PERIOD. They are illegal. What is it about that he can't understand? I just don't get it. He is an idiot. Why do these politicians not realize that much of the state of the economy is DIRECTLY related to the benefits and social services that our government has allowed the illegals? Not to mention mortgage loans that were given to them when they couldn't even prove who they were. Banks like Bank of America, Suntrust, and many many more did this. I know.....I worked for one!!!! I saw it everyday!!!! When I would question it, they told me it wasn't for me to ask questions. Great, huh? California is only the beginning of it though. Does the fall of the Roman Empire ring a bell?

I send my faxes out each time you email me. Doesn't seem to have any effect with the government, according to what you are saying.
I have a serious question. If what you are saying, that they are so blatantly dis-regarding the wishes of the American people (who overwhelmingly want Illegals thrown out and the borders sealed) then why is there no main stream media covering this issue and these politicians? Emails to Congressmen, Senators, Nepolitano and the President are probably just deleted. Faxes and letters have no better fate. Yet, if CNN (and not just Lou Dobbs), our local newspapers (who are crying about losing readership), radio talk shows, etc. took up this issue and had daily updates on Schumer, Nepolitano, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and others, these politicians would run for cover like the slimy, slithering bugs that run when you turn over a rock. Instead, all I see is fluff like Stephan Colbert getting a military haircut, or local articles about road closures and murders, etc. If we STILL had a free press wouldn't at least SOME of the major media outlets pick up on this issue? I realize that they have other goals and needs themselves. But, they ALL make their living off of polls. Low polls and the show is cancelled or the reporter replaced. And, if I read the polls correctly, more than 60% of the people in the United States want Illegal Immigrants removed and the companies that employ them fined or shut down. So why then, does the major media not make this issue a number one ongoing news story? I realize that the U.S. has let SOO many of these Illegals into the country for SOO many years now and past Presidents like Bush, sr. granted amnesty to them, that they are now a large voting block. It is not funny at all but BECAUSE they invaded us un-checked for so many years now, they are now a majority in many states. Yet, they are still officially called "Minorities". This gives them power in numbers. Yet, according to the polls that I read, even some legal Mexicans want the borders closed and Illegals tossed out. To protect THEIR jobs!!! Seems this country is doomed to crash. Too many Special Interests pulling it apart from all sides. Lobbyists from Big Business are mainly responsible. Our jobs have already vanished to China, India, Japan, Korea, etc. and then factor in the Illegal Mexicans taking the labor jobs that are left and then getting entitlements into the billions of dollars on top and the only wonder is WHEN will the entire nation collapse?????? No one is watching out for the greater good of our once great nation. We are fast becoming a Third World country!!
NumbersUSA Moderator: You make an excellent point, John. In general, the media has done a terrible job of covering this issue. You can help by writing letters to the editor, calling in to talk shows, etc.
The faxes do make a difference. We hear from staffers on the Hill everyday. The fact is that defense is easier (though not easy) than offense on Capitol Hill. Your faxes have stopped a lot of really bad things from happening.

This is more reason to get the SAVE act passed. E-verify should be the law and not just an executive order subject to the president's whims.
NumbersUSA Moderator: Excellent point. The SAVE Act has not yet been introduced in this Congress, but once it is we will have to mobilize quickly in support!

I am disgusted that a President would rescind common sense measures that are intended to protect Americans and their jobs. He has chosen to place the interests of crooked businessmen and foreign nationals who are in our country illegally above the welfare of law abiding Americans. Given our extraordinary rates of unemployment and the parlous state of our economy he has done this at a time when it will inflict the maximum pain on Americans and do the maximum damage to our country. I don't think Obama is caving in to business interests. I think this is an arrogant reflection of his true convictions, and also a brutal way to tell Americans that he refuses to enforce current immigration law, as a way to force us to grant "Immigration Reform" on his terms. But given his flagrant lawlessness on this issue, how could we possibly trust him to enforce immigration law even after an amnesty? He is playing a cynical political game that is destroying American lives with the intention of destroying more. Obama has a terrible blindness on this issue that I find disturbing.

Hi there Roy.
How easy is it for someone with your name-recognition to get on TV?
Perhaps the National Networks wont let you on but what about cable TV?
If you could do the rounds on Dobbs, O'Reilly, Beck and Hannity you'd be getting about 8 million viewers and with a multiplier effect of, say, 5 that would be some 40 million people who would learn of this emergency.
And what about radio and Rush, Sean and Laura?
If you are already doing this, how come I never see or hear you on any of the programs I've mentioned?
If you are doing this, though, then perhaps you need to publicize your appearances more pointedly by emailing us with the times of when and where you're up.
Also, what's with Newt Gingrich calling for more H-1 visas in his speech the other night?
With 14 million Americans out of work, me included, has he lost his mind?
I thank you and your staff for all the hard work and vigilance.
NumbersUSA Moderator: Roy and Rosemary are often called to make appearances at the last minute, so it is nearly impossible to give you warning. That is something we would like to be better at.

Roy,
INDEPENDENCE DAY, the Fourth of July (our Cinco de Mayo)is soon coming up. Do you suppose we could quickly organize a national rally of American demonstrations to coincide withthat date? Gee, we could fly our own flag, right side up!
I know the time is short, but if we could pull this off those dratted politicians and the media would HAVE to finally listen to us!
And if a lot of patriotic Ameicans rallied and demonstrated for our country and about our issues--surely they couldn't continue to characterize us as racist rednecks.
Just a thought.

Tea Parties are taking place in approximately 1000 different towns. find one near you and attend. The parties are going to be more against the outrageous spending, but a lot of people who attend also feel the same you do.
NumbersUSA Moderator: NumbersUSA is not affiliated with these rallies, but we welcome any opportunity to tell people about our website.

Tax paying Americans should maximize their Federal dependents and stop filing or paying Federal income tax until we are listened to.
This would get more results and recognition than Tea Parties.

To Sande 0377, and everyone here: please check out www.marchforliberty.org. They are having a July 4th patriot protest in Washington. I would give anything to be able to go, but I can't. But there are SO MANY different groups of us who are fed up---we need to join together whenever we can, so our numbers are HUGE!
I am also a 9/12er---see www.the912project.com.
I want to add my thanks to Roy for all you do---you are amazing!!

Thank you, Juliana5856. I am aware of both movements. Like you, I am unable to go to D.C. on the 4th, but definitely support them.
Agree we need to join together. Afraid it may be too late!
The huge numbers are what worries me. If we can't force Washington and our elected representatives to listen and respond to us, then what.....?
Keep fighting and so will I.

Roy,
Thank you for all the work you have done and are doing to stop the flood of illegal immigrants. Each week I phone, e-mail and fax my representatives and the President about these issues.
I don't understand why they are paying no attention to us, the voters, the taxpayers, the American citizens.
It appears to me that they overwhelmingly support a foreign government (Mexico) and the illegal immigrants Mexico has sent here. I wish someone would explain to me why this is so. Yes, I am aware all illegal immigrants are not from Mexico, but they are so much in the majority that other Spanish speaking illegal immigrants feel discriminated agaist by the Mexican illegals, and often "Pass" as Mexican just so they can get and keep the work Americans are totally unable to obtain.
More to the point, I wish we could actually do something about it! Perhaps if we understood the reasons behind our politicians and their actions, we would be more successful in curtailing the insanity.
Again, thank you.

Roy, Yes let me thank you too for helping us know when things are happening in congress and letting us send faxes to the ones that need it the most.
Thanks again, please keep up the good work.I still can't imagine why congress could even think of going against the American people on this subject of illegal migration, no matter how much money they are given by lobbyists unless they are not patriotic, about America at all. If that's the case, we need to get them "ALL" out of office and start brand new, if needs be.

Alan, you have hit on the problem. Our politicians are not patriotic. Their loyalty is divided among the various special interest groups. And this does not bode well for our country. We are really in trouble in this country economically, morally, politically, and all the other "glues" that hold a country together.

He really thought he was a dictator but guess what he is so dead wrong and we the people told him so.
Thank God we spoke out loud and clear and he heard us and decided not to do something we just flat out didn't want as easily as got in just easily we can get him out and that is a fact.
