"...stabilizing the population will require a cut in the immigration numbers. Immigration is a contentious issue. The statistics, however, cannot be ignored. America's 'resident population' has been growing very slowly for the past 20 years.

"As far as I know, most organizations are avoiding population issues because they're politically frightened by the charge that comes from some proponents of immigration that if you oppose the immigration policy we have now, you're a racist.. There is no way in the world we can forge a sustainable society without stabilizing the population. ...

"The evidence suggests that American would be better off if immigrants were more skilled. And it can be plausibly argued that a smaller number of immigrants would be beneficial for the country. But major changes in immigration policy occur only rarely. Therefore, the road ahead is long and fraught with dangers.

Interior Enforcement

One of the quickest ways to discover which philosophy is guiding a federal official is to learn his or her stance of re-establishing "interior enforcement" in this country. That is, do they support the Immigration and Naturalization Service using all the tools now available to them through law to detect, detain and deport illegal aliens who have crossed the border and moved into the interior of the country?

Anchor Baby Citizenship

The United States currently grants automatic U.S. citizenship to almost all children born in the United States, regardless of whether the parents are U.S. citizens, legal residents, temporary visitors, or illegal aliens in the United States. Some 380,000 children are born in the United States each year to illegal-alien mothers, according to U.S. Census data.

Amnesty

Amnesties go farther than inducing people to come to the United States illegally, they allow those individuals who are already in the United States (in contravention of the law) to escape any penalties. Worst of all, amnesties allow these individuals to stay in the United States. Eventually, these individuals will be allowed to sponsor their immediate and distant relatives, thereby making America's overpopulation problem even worse.
