Proposed Bills in the 111th Congress
NumbersUSA attempts to have analysis and a listed position for each bill proposed in Congress that would change immigration numbers. Our analysis and position is then grouped into the categories found below. For each bill, there is a link to the actual text of the bill along with the bill's sponsor and cosponsors.

Immigration into the United States fluctuated throughout the 20th century because of varying economic conditions. But the changes made by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 drastically increased the number of immigrants allowed into the United States. The chart below depicts the increase in population per decade during the 20th century with a brief description below of how immigration numbers affected the growth.
I hope you will come to rely on this website to help you influence Congress to turn away from immigration policies forcing a more and more congested and regimented future for our country, our children and our grandchildren.
